As of 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, Eversource was reporting that 10,170 of the company’s 1,287,329 customers were without power, representing less than 1 percent.
United Illuminating was also reporting five active outages, impacting 19 customers.
“Winds are picking up across the state. We’re beginning to see some damage to the electric system caused by trees toppling over, like here on Village Drive in Ledyard (above),” Eversource posted on social media.
The most outages were reported in:
- Windsor (Hartford County): 1,807;
- Ledyard (New London County): 1,404;
- Haddam (Middlesex County): 1,019;
- Waterford (New London): 786;
- Woodbury (Litchfield County): 631;
- Wethersfield (Hartford): 586;
- East Hampton (Middlesex): 279;
- Stafford (Tolland County): 278;
- Simsbury (Hartford): 236;
- Woodstock (Windham County): 233;
- Marlborough (Hartford): 222;
- Southbury (New Haven County): 214;
- Hebron (Tolland): 202;
- Meriden (New Haven): 178;
- Harwinton (Litchfield): 178;
- Danbury (Fairfield County): 143.
